You may have a online business that sells other people’s products or your own products. But whether you are selling your own or others, we need to generate a lot of traffic to our website. Of course, you want traffic that are interested with your product or services.
When I started studying internet marketing, I experimented on different methods for driving traffic. Not a lot of the software and services offered to me had good effects.
However, I have found three methods of getting traffic to my site or affiliate product or service:
* Placement of Links
Text links can either be paid or free. The paid methods are paying for your link to be shown in Ezines, newsletters or on other peoples’ sites. The best suggestion that I can give you is to research the Ezines, newsletters and or other people sites that you want to link with before buying. Make sure the traffic and ezine subscriber base is good enough for you.
The unpaid method is through article creation . If you keep doing this, it will definitely make a good impact in your business. Keep in mind, your articles should be relevant and address the subject matter of your site and products.
* Pay-Per-Click
If you have the money to invest in your advertising, advertise through pay per click. In this advertising method, you create an advertisement like in the classified section of the newspaper and bid on the keywords that you would like to target. This takes time, energy, persistence and money and research unless you know the google secret loophole by now. I would advise that you read your affiliate programs and pay per click rules before doing pay per click.
* Website Optimization
This involves targeting a particular keyword and optimizing your website for that particular keyword. Although you get free traffic with SEO, optimizing your website can be time consuming.
These are just some of the most effective ways for traffic generation.
